Jobsearch Support for Newly Unemployed Professionals

As part of the government’s response to the economic downturn, Daniels Smalley Partnership are pleased to have been chosen as an approved provider to the Department of Work and Pensions for the delivery of specialist Jobsearch support to individuals with a professional occupational background.

Over the past 10 months, we have assisted over 100 referred professionals in the south Wales region.

We provide tailored one to one support for referred customers from Job Centre Plus in the South East Wales, South Wales Valleys and South West Wales regions .The format for the individula 1:1 support programme is as follows:-

Initial Meeting

This will be normally be held in a suitable venue close to where you reside and is designed to more fully understand your background, skills and experiences.

We have over 20 years experience of working with professionals and during the course of the meeting offer you both wide ranging support and proactive guidance. This will typically include assistance with CV preparation and covering letter, market intelligence on the local labour market, employment options including permanent, temporary and consultancy as well as other practical advice on job search.

Tailored Support

In accordance with your individual requirement, we provide further support in accordance with your needs. Typically this could include market researching organisations for speculative applications, providing market intelligence ahead of pending interviews, assistance with completing more complex application documents, identifying relevant recruitment agencies or networks to other local support organisations.

We also critique revisions to CV and covering letters in accordance with the actions required.

Follow Up Meeting

Again, this will be normally be held at a suitable venue close to where you reside and focuses upon the proactive actions required and the elimination of any barriers to achieving the objectives. A structured approach to seeking new opportunities is agreed and guidance on topics such as job search planning, employer selection processes and interview techniques is provided.
